ROSELINE ODEH |
Odeh spoke
in Abuja recently on the topic adding that the new book will be a follow up and
comparison on the President’s two eras as Nigeria’s leader.
Her first
book on the president titled Buhari; Nigeria’s head of state, a biographical
book was published in 1984 when then General Buhari became head of state. It
was a bestselling book which still generates interest worldwide as it did when
it was published.
Odeh who had
served Nigeria meritoriously in the Federal Ministry of information and later
as Director General of National Film and video Censor Board (NFVCB) said “I am
putting finishing touches to the new Buhari book. As the writer of the first
book, it has become a responsibility for me to follow my subject more closely
if only to make a comparison between then and now. Recall that he was a
military man then but now a politician”
Asked if she
has a title, Odeh who founded and runs Grotto Afrique, Gallery of history
housing historical documents of Nigerian leaders in Abuja said “don’t worry...just
wait for it”
Not too long
ago, she released Guns of power, a
smooth tale of love tango between a young military officer and a student which
whined her readers with excellent prose and sold out in Amazon. Guns of power
is published by a US Publisher.
