Rivers LGA election; Hon Monday Abulokwe, the man to beatin ONELGA


News coming from Omoku, Ogba Ndoni Egbema Local Government Area of Rivers state say former banker turned politician and former Vice Chairman of the Local Govt Hon Monday Abuluokwe has all the aces to clinch the primaries and delegates congress of the People Democratic party coming up in no distant time.
Many also believe that if he gets the ticket of his party,  then winning will  be a walk over
Since the revered position was zoned to Ndoni by the Rivers PDP, many other candidates are in vigorous campaign to take over the coveted seat but the candidacy of Abuluokwe seems to be the ultimate.
Pundits calculate that since he served well when he was Vice Chairman , his own opportunity will not elude him.
Said a close source who pleaded anonymity, the PDP in the state is well disposed to him because  of his closeness to Chief Felix Obuah, PDP Rivers Chairman. a relationship that started since when Obuah was ONELGA Mayor.
Abulokwe is also said to have in quantum, the tricks of grassroots mobilisation enough to make him carry the day.

Church ushers in bloody fight, head to prison over sagging of trousers

Church ushers of a Pentecostal church situated at the Aswani Layout of Isolo Lagos went into a free- for all fight a few days ago , tore themselves to shreds and landed in Police station from where they were remanded in Kirikiri Prison for causing a breech of the peace  amongst other offences.
The free for all fight was sparked off by the mode of dressing of some members of the church which was at variance with church rules.
Eye witnesses informed ECD that two church members arrived the church that Sunday morning in sagged trousers against the rule of the Pastor in charge and were prevented from entering the church by the ushers. An argument had ensued which later resulted in bloody fisticuffs.
Said the source, the Police came and took every one to their cell from where the matter was taken to court.
When the matter was called up the magistrate remanded the warriors in prison custody.

Female fans melt as Kiss Daniel concludes Europe tour, tour South Africa

Woju crooner Kiss Daniels has concluded his tour of Europe with his female fans all melting in its wake. Stories are still being told of how his fans in Copenhagen fainted in happiness.
The tour started with his participation at Nollywood Film Festival Germany/Nollywood Europe Golden Awards causing the German city of Frankfurt to come alive.
The award ceremonies held from Sept 8-10, 2016.
The  yearly event organized by Ehizoya Golden Entertainment eV which includes film shows, interactions and networking by film makers and other entertainment and culture merchants  premiered a new movie Diplomatic strings shot in Germany and Lagos written and directed by Paul Julius Obomokhai and produced by Isaac Izoya and Queen Blessing Ituah for Ehizoya Golden Entertainment.
Also screened was Henry Ozuluonye's The Stick
News of the upcoming event is all over European cities with fans of Nollywood really keeping the date for what many believe has stamped its authority as a premier show that celebrates Nigerian films in Europe, honoring contributors to the progress of society apart from providing entertainment.
According to the Nigerian Representative for NEGA/NIFF, ace TV producer Kunle Aborishade, “top on the billof those who graced the occasion is screen actor Francis Duru who was joined by Charles Inojie by popular demand. This is not Inojie's first time at NEGA.
