Hunt for hit and run killer danfo driver of Neighbourhood watch official begins

Hunt for the fleeing commercial bus driver who knocked down and killed an official of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos State has begun.

ECD reporters gathered that the authorities of the Lagos Neihbourhood Safety Corps have swung into action linking up with other security agencies to fish out the killer driver.

It also advised the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ejigbo/Ikotun chapter to cooperate and fish out the killer driver.

The late officer of the corps Nsude Chika attached to Iyana Ejigbo was knocked down by a commercial vehicle (LT) at Power Line bus stop, Iyana Ejigbo while he was on his way to his duty post at about 1:30pm on Monday.

Nsude died on the spot as the hit and run driver disappeared from the scene.

Eye witnesses to the incident disclosed that the driver was avoiding paying the area boys of the neighbourhood and drove against traffic knocking the victim down.

The LNSC Corps Superintendent, Ejigbo LCDA, Omokayode Adeoye, said the remains of the victim has been evacuated and deposited in mortuary at Isolo General Hospital while the investigation is on to fish out the driver.
