BIANCA OJUKWU CELEBRATES TODAY; A BRIEF PROFILE OF A WOMAN OF EXTREME ELEGANCE, POISE AND GRACE

As elegant and graceful woman with lots of poise, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu continues to celebrate her birthday today August 5, 2018 , here is a brief profile.
Born 5 August 1968,  Bianca Odinaka Olivia Onoh is a Nigerian politician, diplomat, lawyer, businesswoman and winner of multiple local and international pageant.
She was Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria and was also Miss Africa and the first African to be crowned Miss Intercontinental just as she represented Nigeria at the Miss Congeniality.
Childhood and education
Bianca is the sixth child of erudite lawyer, Property magnate, politician, statesman and Late former Governor of old Anambra state Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh, Aninefungwu of Enugu Ngwo and his pretty wife Caroline.
While living in the rural community of Ngwo, she attended schools both in Enugu Nigeria and in the United Kingdom. She attended boarding school at Hackworth School, St. Andrews College, Cambridge as well as the Cambridge Tutorial College where she obtained her A- levels .She soon began a combined honours degree in Politics, Economics and Law at the University of Buckingham but soon relocated to Enugu where she gained admission into University of Nigeria Enugu Campus. Upon graduation, she went to the Nigeria Law school and was called to Nigerian bar.
While in Spain as Ambassador of Nigeria. She went into the prestigious Alfonso X el Sabio University and took a masters degree in International Relations and diplomacy.

Love for beauty pageantry
Bianca’s interest in beauty pageantry started very early in her life yet several of her childhood friends say she has  always been a shy kid.. According to them, it is her extreme good looks and carriage and comportment that usually singles her out to take what many think is hers. As a student of St Andrews Cambridge, she won the Miss Martini, a college pageant.
Her interest did not end there as she enrolled for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant and was in December 1988, crowned Nigeria’s most beautiful girl at a big ceremony held at the National Theatre, Lagos.
Bianca went on to win Miss Africa, hosted in Banjul, Gambia and the prestigious Miss Intercontinental Pageant hosted in Lagos in 1989. She also flew Nigeria’s flag at the Miss World held in Hong Kong same year as well as Miss Universe held in Cancun, Mexico.
Aside this, she was named Miss Congeniality at the now defunct Miss Charm International which held in Russia. She got to the semi-final stage.

It was after her crowning as Miss Intercontinental and Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria that her hitherto secret amorous relationship with the Ikemba, her father’s associate who was far her senior was revealed. It became the main controversy of the early 90s period as every newspaper, magazine or radio and television carried Ojukwu and Bianca..their story and love escapades. She was urged to give up her crown as MBGN and Miss Intercontinental by the organizers who felt it was scandalous to their brand.
Her marriage in a celebrated and lavish wedding to Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu shook Nigeria at the time,

Business methods and interests
After her call to bar, Bianca worked for her father but not for long as she quit so as to give  vent to her new found interest in cosmetics. Her years on pageantry lane had exposed her to international cosmetics brands. She first set up Bianca Blend,  a beauty and cosmetics business which had a beauty parlor, sauna and spa and Mirabella, an interior décor outfit in Enugu. She also runs Hope House Trust, an NGO involved in helping give a new lease of life to juvenile offenders.
National assignments and numerous awards
President Goodluck Jonathan first named Bianca SSA on Diaspora Matters in 2011 after the death of her hubby before elevating her to become Ambassador to Ghana and Spain in 2012.
She is also Nigeria's permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
Honors have not seized going the way of Mrs Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu.
She has been honored with the Certificate of Merit by El Mundo Diplomatico, Spain for her diplomatic efforts in strengthening and improving bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Spain.
Voice Magazine, number 1 African magazine in Netherlands named her Outstanding African Ambassador while Anambra state Government honored her as Ambassador of Excellence in 2016.
She has also received numerous chieftaincy titles from many communities.

Her politics
Bianca Ojukwu is a member of the Board of Trustees of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, the party her late husband formed and noted to have played a big role in the re election of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state. It is on record how she joined forces with APGA hierarchy to travel round the state to ensure APGA victory during that election 
It is still unconfirmed that the mother of three children has her eyes on the Anambra South senatorial elections come 2019. Many think she is qualified.
