Kidnappers descend on Isheri Osun community *Residents flee ...*Big boys abandon flashy cars for commercial bikes

Residents of White sand area of Isheri Osun, a Lagos community who traveled for Christmas may not have plans for immediate return to the area this new year 2017.
This is because the fear of kidnappers who laid siege upon the land and picked up six residents within the space of two weeks before the yuletide celebrations is the beginning of wisdom.
A few weeks to the festivities, stories of how a certain popular woman in the area was picked up by unknown  men riding in a sienna bus who whisked her away at about 7 pm before she could open her gate to enter her compound after a hectic day. By the time the woman regained her freedom a few days later after allegedly paying an unconfirmed amount as ransom, a certain man was also whisked away.
ECD Reporters learnt that it was not long before it  was feasting time for the daredevils who ransacked the streets around White sand area every evening for victims who are alleged to have paid ransom between N1.5m and N3m to  regain freedom.
Currently most big boys of the area who were not forced to travel early for the end of year abandoned their flashy cars for okada to avoid being noticed by the marauders
Speaking on conditions of anonymity, a resident confirmed to ECD that he had relocated from White sand before the Christmas festivities just like many have abandoned their posh and flashy cars to ride commercial motor bikes to avoid being noticed by the kidnappers.
