TRIBUTE;
Obi Ndigbo,
the Igbo palace on behalf of the entire Igbo community of Ejigbo has sent a condolence
message to Oba Moroof Adekunle Ojoola, Ojon of Ejigbo on the passing of his
dear mother.
In the terse
message signed by Eze ASM Nwoye, Onyendu Ndi Eze and Bobaselu of Ejigbo which was wildly
circulated in community news media as well as online platforms during the celebration of 8days fidau prayers and
final burial for late Alhaja Ojoola, Obi Ndigbo wrote “it is with shock that we
received the sad news of the passing of Alhaja Sikirat Ojoola, your dearest mum at the ripe age of 100 years.
Continuing, the
message said “the out pouring of love upon your family from well wishers, your
immediate subjects and Nigerians at large at this time show that Alhaja Sikirat no doubt lived an enviable life worthy of emulation by especially Nigerian women.
“Those who
knew her or came in contact with her during her life time continue to attest to
her unflinching love for God and humanity as a whole.
“The world won’t
forget her memorable role as a women mobiliser and community leader.
Dear Kabiyiesi,
we pray that God will console you and the entire members of the family she left
behind at this mourning period”
