More and more Nigerian business men and women are keying
into the interest being generated by China’s Export and Import Fair otherwise
known as the Canton Fair world wide.
Sources at the
Guangzhou office of the Fair which started since 1957 say more Nigeria interest
is noticeable in the registration of visitors and exhibitors.
At the Chinese Consulate in Lagos and Abuja, officials have
reported increased interest from interested participants.
About 1,500 Nigerians were at the 121 edition which started on April 15 and ended May 5, 2017
Canton Fair(China
Import and Export Fair) is the largest trade fair with the largest scale, the
most complete exhibit variety, the broadest distribution of overseas buyers and
the greatest business turnover held in Guangzhou(Canton) China.
Over 20,000
vendors, about 100,000 buyers will attend the fair twice a year.
As usual the fair which is divided into phases 1,2 and 3
runs from 15 -19 October 2017, 23rd
-27th October , 2017 and 31st October – 4th November, 2017 respectively. Daily
activities begin at 9;30am ending at
18;00pm.
The first phase showcases Electricals and electronics and
appliances, chemicals, spare parts while the second phase exhibits household
items consumer goods.
