Stella Oduah settles down to do Senate business
After the battle that saw her win the coveted senate seat for Anambra North Senatorial zone, the Amazon of Ogbaru land, Stella Oduah has plunged straight into business.
Senator Oduah who was a top notch in the oil and gas business in Nigeria before serving as Nigeria’s Minister for Aviation and later contesting the Senate seat is among the numerous Senators of the PDP at the Senate.
Oduah beat former Anambra state Commissioner, Dubem Obaze of APGA to clinch the position after slugging it out in a most keenly contested election in the state’s history. Both Oduah and Obaze hail from neighbouring towns of AKili Ozizor and Ochuche Umuodu respectively in Ogbaru LGA of Anambra state.
At the Senate, Oduah is seen hobnobbing with other Anambra state Senators especially Andy Uba and indeed other PDP Senators who are in full support of the Deputy Senate Presidency of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and of course the Senate Presidency of Dr Bukola Saraki.
Those in the know say she is forever in thought about how to better the lot of Anambra state especially her people of Ogbaru at the Senate.
Work at her skill acquisition programmes situated in Ogbaru, Onitsha and Anambra /Oyi area are still on aimed at providing the requisite skills to young people to survive in the race for economic empowerment.
Said a close aide who shied from disclosing his identity, “Senator Oduah will never fail her people”
