EJIGBO COUNCIL CHAIR, BELLO OBE IN A BIG FIX

Hon. Monsuru Bello Obe

POLITICS

Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area Hon Monsuru Oloyede Bello Obe is currently in a big fix as you read this.

This seeming quagmire is not about the much cracking of brain to deal with the many issues of government or the grey hairs of  name calling and criticisms of political opponents.

It is about the political ambition of two men he values so highly.

Obe's headache is that two of his main guys have ambition to go to the House of Reps come 2023 to represent Oshodi/Isolo federal constituency 2 throwing him off balance as to whom to pitch tenth with or to support and campaign for.

The two men are Hon Kehinde Bamigbetan, former Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, former SA to a Lagos governor as well as Commissioner in Lagos state and Hon Abdulkareem Abdullateef who was also an SA and a commissioner aside from holding other positions in Lagos.

Obe was a loyal Vice Chairman to Hon Bamigbetan when he was Executive Chairman of Ejigbo and is said to have benefitted so much from his political tutelage and bonding.

Many still see Bamigbetan as Obe’s chief adviser till today.

As for Hon Abdullateef, he is a close “brother” to Obe coming from same kindred and growing up together.

Their fathers are said to have grown up together and were noted among part of the builders of the community and LCDA in general.

ECD investigation reveal that Obe who really understands the precarious situation he has found himself as the march towards 2023 progresses had already declared to the gladiators that he will never be involved in their matter. He is said to have declared his neutrality early enough.

Ejigbo LCDA is one of the major areas of interest in Oshodi/Isolo federal constituency 2.
