Isaac Izoya, festival director of Nollywood Film festival Germany, NFFG which just last night in Frankfurt won the best African festival in Germany says he is thankful to all whose votes made it win.
Speaking after the event, Izoya said "I feel happy. Words are not enough to explain how I feel tonight. It shows me that our humble contributions are being followed by many. It reinvigorates me to do much more in my chosen career. I thank the organizers – AfroNews.de and Ortel Mobile, the event sponsors, members of Nollywood Practitioners Europe and back home in Nigeria, my numerous fans across the world that made this possible by voting for us massively. God bless you all".
Speaking further, Izoya noted that by God`s Grace, the post Covid-19 Nollywood Film Festival Germany NFFG and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards NEGA will hold in 2022. With the ongoing massive vaccination drives across Europe now, we are hoping for our first post pandemic events with a renewed dynamism in 2022. *“THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”*
Best African festival is one of categories of the African Community in Germany Awards 2021
In a keenly contested online voting by all and sundry, NFFG beat African festival Stuttgart and African festival Tubingen to clinch the revered title at the well publicised event organised by top German media organisation Afronews.de and held last night (23rd October, 2021) in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany.
NFFG organised by Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V under the directorship of the Cultural Ambassador Isaac izoya clinched the award with 52% of votes followed by African festival Stuttgart and African festival Tubingen with 29% and 19% of votes respectively.
Voting started as soon as organizers AfroNews.de with the support of German`s Telecommunication giant, Ortel mobile blew the whistle
ABOUT ISAAC IZOYA, NFFG FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
Many believe that NFFG deserve the award because of the popularity and antecedents of the festival director Isaac Izoya Safety/Cultural Ambassador who variously had been involved in African cultural expositions in Europe since 2002.
Izoya, founder of Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V started with acting and producing cross cultural Nollywood films like sinners in the House, Home and Abroad, Love In Berlin, Run! But You Can`t Hide, Zero Your Mind, just to mention but a few, nose diving into what he called integration tours with popular Nollywood stars including top director Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, Aki and pawpaw, Jim Iyke, Ngozi Ezeonu, Mercy Johnson, Benedict Johnson, Patience Ozokwor, Mr Ibu, Victor Osuagwu, Julius Agwu, Basket Mouth, Sheddy Baba, Tuface, Kizz Daniel, Ramsey Nouah, Timaya, Charles Inojie and a host of others.
The tours went across European cities of Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Holland, Italy, Spain etc before berthing with Nollywood film festival Germany (NFFG) and it's sister event Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA) held within August/September in Frankfurt, Germany yearly
