One of the most
famous Igbo cultural entertainment groups Egedege Group of Unubi, Anambra state are set to thrill patrons of the
newly opened Aceland Royal Garden Friday 16th August 2019.
The Egedege show
which starts early about 5pm on that day at the expansive garden and car park
of the latest entertainment place in town is planned to be a befitting stimulus
after a long Federal holiday.
It is the
first major show to take place at Aceland since its doors were flung open though
skeletally.

Garden situated at Abiodun Alimi street, off NNPC Bus stop directly opposite the Ejigbo Local
council headquarters just took entertainment lovers by surprise when while the construction
was still on- going, guests were
clamouring to make use of the facility for lodging and other offerings,

Speaking
with ECD Showdish on the upcoming show, Eze Alex Nwoye, proprietor of Aceland Royal
Garden said “Egedege Group is well known and has a rich history in Nigeria
Cultural music entertainment. I believe that they will thrill our guests and
patrons very well with music from their various albums.
Being the first major music
promotion at Aceland since we started operations, we have put so much in place”.
Continuing,
Eze Nwoye said “at Aceland, we have cozy rooms for your relaxation, a bar with
assorted wines and drinks to quench your thirst and a restaurant to fill you with
African delicacies. You are welcome in advance.”
On her part,
Chioma Onourah, lead singer of the group with a long and rich history of local
and international performances gave a snippet on what to expect at the Aceland
show.
According to
her, “Egedege is associated with royalty and that is why our relationship with
Aceland Royal Gardens is strong. All fans of Egedege are expected to converge
at Aceland Friday 16 August 2019. Please keep that date”
Egedege cultural
singing and dancing group with flute as its major ingredient was formed and led
by famous Igbo culture exponent Queen Theresa Onuorah and has been in existence
since the 80s.
The song
Egwu Ijele composed and aptly delivered by Theresa Onuorah still remains a best
seller many years after its release.
