JULIE PIP RESURFACES! NOW BISHOP JULIANA COBY
Do
you remember Julie Pip? They called her Bada mama jamma of Nigerian pop music?.
She
was one of the biggest celebrities of the early and late 90s and graced almost
all the major tabloids of the era.
She
also made some albums before becoming born again and continued with gospel
music.
The
main news now is that after releasing her second gospel album and after setting
up a church, the Agbor Delta state born elegant Evangelist Julie Pip Okoh
relocated to the US where she studied Theology and has founded another
Christian ministry which has music as one of its main focus.
Now
known as Bishop Juliana Coby who dishes out gospel music at will in the US, she
has organized several crusades and planning a major Nigerian church programme
to gather distinguished Nigerians under one roof.
Her
new music The Lord that healeth is currently being celebrated by lovers of
gospel as a fusion of African pop and R& B.
In
a recent chat, Bishop Juliana said “God has revealed to me that Nigeria’s
problems will be a thing of the past and all things shall become new”
However
Julie Pip did not start as a musician. She started as a beautician and
fashionista with a big salon off Toyin street around the famous Allen Avenue of
Ikeja Lagos where celebrities went for make- over.
It
was sometime in the early 2000 that Julie shocked Nigerians to announce she was
now a born again Christian and all other things had become new as old things
had passed away.
She
gave away all her beauty equipment and enrolled in a bible school and released
a gospel album not long after. She also founded a church; Triumphant Church of
God on one of her properties in Lagos even though she did not lose her fashion
sense.

THINGS YOU DID NOT SEE AT OBA EJIGBO 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
Oba Moroof and friends |
We present you with those things you never saw during the
celebrations
THE ARENA
The arena for the main celebration was the main bowl of
Ejigbo Youths Centre which was already cordoned off two days before the event
for security purposes. It was during those two days that the majestic canopies
and the stage of K1 Ultimate grand show were set up.
Even some of the cooling vans started revving full of drinks on the
night of Friday.
OBA MOROOF, HIS STYLE
The celebration of the 20 years anniversary presented Oba
Moroof yet another opportunity to exhibit his style and fashion.
He wore specially embroidered sky blue brocade topping it up
with a specially knit ash-colored Indian cap with a knot on its squeezed front.
You should have seen how his posture caused almost all known
photographers in the community to be glued to the high able taking shots of him
and his friends. They snapped every move that Kabiyesi made on that day.
HRM Oba Moroof Adekunle Adisa Ojoola on that day |
OBA MOROOF, HIS GRATITUDE
Oba Moroof was full of gratitude for the huge turnout at the
occasion. He even put it in writing and was visibly thankful to his fellow Obas
as well as other distinguished Nigerians for postponing other pressing personal
matters to be with him on that day.
He did not mince words when he extended most special
appreciation to “my one man committee Mr. Abidemi Ogunmefun(aka Galaxy) who
stood by me to make this occasion a reality. I also thank my Baba Itesiwaju
Ejigbo Hon Abdul-Hakeem Mobaji Abdul Lateef, my Chiefs, may God continue to
bless and prosper you. Honorable Monsuru Oloyede Bello, Chairman Ejigbo LCDA,
my God will reward you.
Obas in the house |
OBA MOROOF, HIS FRIENDS AND SMALL CHOPS
The long VIP table was filled up with dignitaries who
started joining the celebrant quite early on that day. Many of his friends and
obas continued to file in one after the other until they filled all the
reserved seats and the show came to a climax.
One noticeable thing was that as the chief host, all the
pieces of fish, meat, small chops that went to the table was tasted by Oba Moroof
before it started making the rounds on the table for his friends. And the high
table never lacked chops and all kinds of drinks.
HIS OLORIS
Oba Moroof’s wives were at their best also. Led by Olori
Tawakalitu, Olori Adepeju and Olori Olubukola, sat calmly watching and creating
their own joy at the event marking the 20th anniversary on the
throne of His Royal Majesty Oba Moroof Ojoola, their husband.
YORUBA DAY

symbol of Police is your friend slogan mingled round the arena to the various

THE MAN GALAXY
Overseeing the entire show was a man everyone called Galaxy,
Oba Moroof’s special aide who was there at his beck and call from the beginning
and ever after. He was very close to the high table where the Oba sat with his
friends. As chief coordinator of the entire show, Galaxy whose real names are
Abidemi Ogunmefun (Baba Eto)was the major supply for all important chops and
choice wines and spirits to the high table and to the special guests of the
party seated across the canopies. He was standing not far from the high table
completely at the service of the Oba and his friends. He was very attentive to
notice His Royal Majesty’s signals. He
also went round the various canopies to ensure that the show was going well.
Even though some people say Galaxy was on top of himself
shouting and hollering like a god on that day apparently because of the
pressure he was in, others say he did well and was in full control in
coordinating such a big show.

FAITHFUL WOMAN PASTOR COMFORT LUWEI WRITES AGAIN FOR YOU...KEEP GOD'S COMMANDMENTS, IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU
Pastor Comfort Luwei |
Rebellion could begin after knowing what is and is not obtainable,
and becoming discontented about it. But stubbornness remains the major reason
for many people going down the path of destruction. The Scriptures told us in
the book of Proverbs 16:25 that, there is a way that seems right to a man, but
the end thereof are the ways of death. I pray for you to have grace to withdraw
your steps from every way that seems right to you at the expense of God's
leading for your life in Jesus'' name. To an obstinate man, saying no to God is
always in advance of knowing what God's will for him is. He did not start
refusing or rejecting things just when orders are given. Even when there are
persuasions to do what is right, a stubborn man turns deaf ears, seeing nothing
at stake, whether as reward for obedience or consequences of disobedience. This
explained the words of the children of Israel in Jeremiah 44:16-17 when the
prophet tried persuading them in the name of the Lord.
As for the word
that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken to you.
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goes forth out of our own mouth…
The mouth speaks
out of the abundance of what is in the heart. And it sets the whole course of
the body in actions that are lined up with the expressed thoughts (James
3:1-10). It is in this regard that a stubborn man or woman lives up to whatever
he or she had imagined in the heart to do and declared openly. Anyone who is
stubborn shuns every persuasion and conviction of the word of God. So you will
discover that such person is left to his own ways. He becomes too wise in his
own eyes to the point of destroying himself (Ecclesiastes 7:16). The Spirit of
God no longer rules and judges him in the way of God (Genesis 6:3). Then
idolatry results because man is devotional being by making. He has a creational
obligation to submit to something or someone, whether consciously or
unconsciously. This natural tendency in man either makes him submits to God or
get stubborn and so, initiate idolatry which is a lifestyle of seeking
alternative outside God.
Idolatry is a
blatant way of saying that you have no need for God and word in your life
whether you know it too well that man is a devotional being or not. We express
submission, either to God or the devils, with what we say, do and even think of
all the time. It is easy to know who and what every man is bound to by his
expression (Proverbs 6:2). Man, by making, must naturally devote and submit to
something or someone. And he ends up serving whomever or whatever he submits
to. So if not God, then it has to be the devil although the devil is no match
for God. This is one truth which Apostle Paul opened us to in Romans 6:16, 19
that: know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants you are to whom you obey…
…for as you have
yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity to iniquity; even
so now yield your members servants to righteousness to holiness.
Disobedience is
not a virtue. And at the same time, it is not a mistake. A mistake for a sinner
may not be deliberate when he lacks the grace but his eyes will later open at
the fullness of time. But then, you should know that disobedience is different
from omission. It is rather a deliberate act, having every part of the soul in
consent.
Disobedience is
the starting point for idolatry and witchcraft as a fetish, secret art and act.
It strengthens the holds of satan in people's affairs.
Bishop David O.
Oyedepo often says that “a man remains in captivity, not because his captor is
too strong for him to break loose from. It is because he fails to know what
qualifies him in God for his liberty”. But how can a disobedience man ever know
and even access what qualifies him for deliverance in God when he would not
obey the word of God?
God has no
tolerance for disobedience. Anyone who disobeys God has a common destiny with
witches and idol worshippers. Disobedience is nothing to God but rebellion
which is as grave as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness which is as the sin
of iniquity and idolatry,
According to I
Samuel 15:23. many religious of the world may justify seeking alternatives to
their profession in the heat of trying situations but eh Christian faith is not
on the same plane with them. Any Christian indulging in stubbornness and
rebellion to the authority of God is fast settling for a life of multiple
sorrows but he is as good as a witch and idol worshipper. Psalms 16:4 vividly
confirmed that, their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another
God.
So this is a call
to do away with disobedience which is always a bid to manipulate or maneuver
God's firmness while God and His Word remain non-negotiable. But we are
rest-assured that the strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for He is not
a man that He should repent (I Samuel 15:29).
The book of Hebrew
6:17, 18 even confirmed that wherein God, willing more abundantly to show to
the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
That by two
immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie…
In conclusion, to
disobey God is reject God and institute wickedness. In return, you earn His
rejection and have God in fierce contention with you in every respect. The
prophet Samuel told King Saul that, Because you have rejected the word of the
Lord, He also has rejected you from being King – I Samuel 15:23. David also
warned that God is angry with the wicked every day – Psalms 7:11
This is not your
portion in Jesus name! Nonetheless, know that god has zero tolerance for
disobedience as man does leprosy. It is a “but” – a leprosy which destroys
without remedy. Don’t disobey God under whatever justification.

REAL REASONS LAGOS INFORMATION COMMISSIONER KEHINDE BAMIGBETAN JETTISONED HOUSE OF REPS AMBITION
Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan |
Even though
Lagos state commissioner for information and strategy Honorable Kehinde
Bamigbetan has explained that political strategising caused him to jettison his
race to the Federal House of Reps, ECD has unearthed real reasons he presented
Hon. Habeeb Anibaba as his replacement.
According to
ECD findings, it was not political strategizing alone that caused the man to
dump the eternal dream of going to the House of Reps to give full
representation to Oshodi Isolo Federal Constituency 2 of Lagos state.
Our reliable
source told of how an “order from above” had put paid to the idea which had
already built up massive winning structure of following throughout the
constituency.
Said the
source “an order came during a special meeting with Lagos APC leadership saying
that he should put behind him the plan to contest the seat about to be vacated
by Hon Tony Nwulu who has since abandoned the constituency to contest governorship in his home state of Imo. ”
Continuing
he said “during the meeting, the former Local Council Chairman for Ejigbo was
addressed by Governor Ambode who was supported by two other top stakeholders of
APC in Lagos that he should cool down and join the Lagos Governor in the huge
task of running Lagos rather than dream Abuja.”
Anibaba...the man Bamigbetan shifted ground for |
This was said to have sent chills down his
spine.
He was said
to have recalled his enormous work over the years in the constituency and all
he has lined up to accomplish during his stay in the Federal House come 2019
and shook his head.
Immediately
after the meeting according to ECD findings, distraught Bamigbetan calmed
himself down gathered his composure and immediately summoned a special
emergency meeting with his stakeholders where he spilled the beans and
introduced Anibaba.
Recall that Hon
Bamigbetan also made the move in 2015 but also an order from above caused him
to also jettison the idea.
HOW ANAMBRA REPS MEMBERS, OTHERS SAVED SARAKI FROM IMPEACHMENT
Very loyal Anambra state representatives at the House of
Reps early this morning foiled what they call an impeachment plot against
Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The reps members include Hon Chukwuka Onyema representing
Ogbaru Federal Constituency and Hon Obinna Chidoka of Idemmili.
ECD learnt that the reps members received the info from a
reliable source and went to the Red chambers to keep vigil and in fact repelled
the few senators who plotted the impeachment exercise for 5 a.m.
Onyema spoke on behalf of the reps members saying the APC embers have vowed to return and complete the exercise
Senator Bukola saraki defected from the APC to his former
party PDP.
Nigerians are wondering why such a plot could be allowed to
happen even as the senate is in recess.
