Mysterious rain storm destroys church in which baby girl disappeared

The church before

The church after

A sudden and mysterious rain storm has blown away the church in which a baby girl, Temitope Ogundeyi had disappeared a few months back.
The rainstorm had blown so much breeze which collapsed a wall dumping its entire blocks upon the church leaving it crashing on the floor as the picture show.
No one was injured in the accident because no member of the church had arrived for church service that early Sunday morning
Recall that ECD reported the cries of a mother Mrs Miriam Ogundeyi whose baby grew wings and flew away one night and has never been seen till date.
The church Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Mount Zion Branch better known as Temple of Peace situated at 30 Ilufunmi street Ejigbo came into the news when a two years old baby girl Tope who was sleeping with her mum in the church but has not been seen ever since.
When ECD visited the church after the rain storm, neighbours were still talking about the incident thanking God for no lives were lost. They also retold how the rain storm of the morning hit the wall which in turn hit the church.
A motley crowd had gathered after the news spread about the church collapse with mixed feelings trailing the sad incident. While some people feel that it serves the church right because according to one passer by “ a church from where babies disappear is not a good church  while some others say it could be mere coincidence.

Said a neighbour “ it was around between 6.30a.m and 7 a.m that we heard a loud noise and a crashing sound and when I ran out, behold it was the church sitting on its own debris. Thank God no lives were lost.

Obe’s bombshell; LGA Chairmanship is not for the inexperienced. …Hon Monsuru Obe in exclusive chat on his plans for Ejigbo

Former Vice Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council whose eyes are on the Chairmanship seat, Hon Monsuru Obe has dropped what many consider a bomb on the current goings on as the build up to the local Council elections in Lagos continues saying that “local council leadership is not for the inexperienced”
In a recent exclusive chat with ECD team, Hon Obe said he is the most qualified to mount the saddle because according to him, he understands “the real issues in grassroots leadership”
The scion of the Nurudeen Obe political family in reaction to the seeming endorsement of Dr Olatunde Olusunmade  and Dr Olumide Ojoola by Lagos APC Chairman, Chief Dele Ajomale as APC flag bearers in the forth coming council elections said there should be no such endorsements as the field has to be level for all contenders,
in his words, “I believe in party supremacy and structure. Depriving other contenders amounts to hand picking which is not democratic in this dispensation. Let all the contenders test their popularity in a primary election to choose who is better for APC. It is better that all APC members are stakeholders rather than being dispersed. No one loves a contentious government. The system has to be very transparent to hold water.”
Speaking further, Obe said the race to Tiger House that is the Ejigbo Local Council headquarters should be for the experienced people like me and not for freshers who do not even understand the dynamics of local council governance and would begin to learn on the job with scarce resources available. As for me, I have the technical know-how to fall back on my experience when the chips are down.
Defense of Bamigbetan’s tenure
In defense of his years on the saddle as Vice Chairman, the civil engineer said “No matter how you try to bend history, Ejigbo was not as connected as it is today. We did all the connecting roads that link Ejigbo with the many communities around it. we had figured that traffic engulfed Ejigbo because of no connecting roads so we did some connection for the people. That is why Idimu, Isheri/Ijegun, Ajao estate links. We did powerline, Ailegun to connect Bayo Oyelana and decongest Iyana Ejigbo. That was why we started Peter Agha, the famous January 27 road which has been completed today. Who would also forget the many drainages we did to checkmate flooding?
Again, when we came there were only two schools but we dispersed the schools across all the wards. Pupils and students do not have to trek far to congested schools.

Don't also forget what we did for the health centers by opening up health centers across the wards. We even gave free drugs and 24 hours service but not now”

LGA Elections fever grips Lagosians... Some of those who want to rule Ejigbo

Dr Olatunde Olusunmade
He is one of the biggest contenders for the seat of Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA. Olusunmade, a medical doctor of great repute has been seeking this seat for sometime now even though he never made it covert. This time around, he is not in the dark but out in the open. He had told ECD that it is not a rumour that he is interested in the seat when the Lagos LGA elections are held. He is the founder and medical Director of Estate Clinics, situated at Jakande estate, Ejigbo. He is of the APC.

Engr. Monsuru Obe
Another big contender for the seat of Ejigbo power is son of one of Ejigbo’s major political war horses Nurudeen Obe, Monsuru Obe was Vice Chairman of Ejigbo under Hon Kehinde Bamigbetan and logically feels he is the most qualified and experienced to fill the seat vacated by his boss.
He will readily talk about his in depth knowledge of how things work at the grassroots local government level, Obe does not mince words about his intention to battle for this seat. He says “Let us have a free and fair primaries or a debate and see who will explain well all he wants to do as Chairman”
Obe is a civil engineer. He is a solid member of APC.

Engr. Ibrahim Adefenwa.
He is not new in the contest for the leadership of the Tiger House, the headquarters of Ejigbo Local council. Ibrahim Adefenwa better known as A10 is a PDP man to the core who believes that Ejigbo and indeed Nigeria will be better off if PDP is in power not only nationally but also at the LGA level.
He never ceases to tell all who care to listen that APC has failed Nigeria and indeed Ejigbo so must be changed.
See what we did at the House of reps and House of Assembly and the contributions of our Hon members and ypou will know that PDP means business.

Dr Olumide Ojoola.
Many people got to know of the political might of Dr. Olumide Ojoola, one of the many medical doctor sons of Oba Moroof Ojoola, Ojoon of Ejigbo when he landed from the blues to contest the primaries to be a member of Lagos House of Assembly representing Oshodi 11 but did not succeed. He came second in the contest after about a month of joining the race also planting himself into political reckoning by so doing.
He wants to play a role in the way his community is run either as Chairman or any other position that presents itself.

Elder Olu Arulogun
One time secretary to Ejigbo Local Council Elder Olu Arulogu has not yet jettisoned the idea of becoming Chairman of Ejigbo much sooner than later. More meetings upon meetings still takes place around him regularly to actualise this dream. SA few weeks ago, Arulogun took over Ejigbo with fliers, posters and banners promising a new dawn..new hope and new vision,

Suleimon Tajudeen
He served as the first Councilor from Ejigbo in the days when  the community was under Oshodi.
He later also served as Councilor of Ifoshi ward and became leader of Ejigbo LCDA House. Taju is said to have an eye on something.

Adewale Akinlusi
He has always been very passionate about development at grass roots level and would love to actualise this passion if he gets at the top of local government administration as Chairman. Akinlusi, a maritime specialist is contesting for the PDP and hopes for the ticket of his party.
Akinlusi tells every one that he is on a rescue mission for Ejigbo which according to him has been in coma under the hands of APC
.
Rev. Augustine Afolabi  Ojo
The son of renowned religious leader Late Bishop Aduragbemi Ojo of Mounts of Salvation Apostolic Church( Mosac) is also gearing up to become Chairman of Ejigbo under PDP. If he is chosen by his party, he would bring about his experience at ward level where he has been Zonal Chairman, Coordinating Chairman and a member of ward exco to bring about what he considers a wind of change.

Hon. Grace Nwankwo Okere

The well known fashion designer and cosmetologist  and women leader has her eyes on the Councilorship of Ifoshi ward where she believes she will make an impact. As women leader of Igbo speaking community, Grace seems to have total support of the Igbos in Ejigbo. She will do battle for APC.
*Watch out for more contenders

Horror...Church ushers in bloody fight, land in court, head to Kirikiri....For sagging trousers

Members of a renowned Pentecostal church in Lagos  will not forget in a hurry,  the recent very bloody fight by two ushers who later landed in Kirikiri after being charged to court by the police.
The ushers of  the church situated at the Aswani Layout of Isolo Lagos had gone into  a free- for all fight,  tore themselves to shreds and landed in Police station from where they were remanded in Kirikiri Prison for causing a breach of the peace  and occasioning bodily harm  amongst other offences.
Investigation revealed that the free for all fight was sparked off by the mode of dressing of some members of the church which was at variance with church rules.
Eye witnesses informed ECD that two church members arrived the church that Sunday morning in sagged trousers against the rule of the Pastor in charge and were prevented from entering the church by the ushers. An argument had ensued which later resulted in bloody fisticuffs.
Said the source, the Police came and took every one to their cell from where the matter was taken to court.

When the matter was called up the magistrate remanded the warriors in prison custody.
